Tanzania Veterinary Laboratory AGENCY (TVLA) has encouraged breeders to consider the correct use of Livestock vaccines and check of food quality to avoid possible serious health effects to face the eaters of those meats.
Speaking at the launch of 10 year certification week since the establishment of TVLA, TVLA Regional Manager highlands in the south Dr. Qwari Bura said that the wrong use of Vaccination and Livestock food if not observed may cause death due to the effects of meat that will be eaten by humans.
Dr Bura said that use The abuse of drugs, especially antibiotics, can also affect humans due to eating the residues of those drugs in foods derived from animals.
He said that is a problem the biggest problem facing the world at the moment and breeders should heed the advice provided to control it. It is estimated that by the year 2030, more people of 10 million will die every year due to the failure of medicine to treat them Pathogens will have developed resistance resulting from the indiscriminate use of medicine for humans and animals.
Dr Bura said that the breeders they should immediately stop the practice of treating their animals without tests to protect animal and human health
Dr Bura said that the Laboratory Agency of Tanzania Veterinarian (TVLA) is a Government Agency under the Ministry of Livestock and Fishing established by the Law of Government Agencies No. 245 (done amendment in 2009) and announced in the Government Gazette dated 9 March 2012. The agency was officially launched on July 11, 2012 by the Secretary General Leader was born from the merger of the former Central Veterinary Laboratory (CVL), Regional Centers for Investigation and Diagnosis of Veterinary Diseases (VICs), Institute of Ndorobo Research (TTRI) Tanga and Ndorobo Research Center (TTRC) Kigoma.

Dr Bura said that they will open the New Building of
Laboratory and Office Iringa Center serving the Southern Highlands Region
which are the regions of Iringa, Njombe, Mbeya and Ruvuma, native chicken breeders
and holding meetings with breeders with the aim of providing Education related to services
provided by TVLA especially the services of patient testing and vaccination and Kumanya
Veterinary disease testing (Free) at our old existing facility
Boma Street Iringa Municipality and Chicken vaccination (Free) in the county
He said that the agency decided to celebrate
of those 10 years since it was established by allocating five days from the date
21/11/2022 to 25/11/2022 by doing various activities with a goal
to reach the breeders and give back what it got to the community. Anniversary
these will be held across the country at our headquarters and 11 centers
regions, and each center has planned to do various activities in those days
five as for Providing Education related to
services provided by TVLA to carry out veterinary disease testing (Free) for
areas to be determined Livestock Vaccination (Free) for areas
to be determined Provision of Veterinary Education (Free).
Dr Bura concluded by saying that In making this celebration a success, the Iringa Center has planned to educate them breeders especially on activities to increase productivity in breeding in the Region In the Southern Highlands, the activities include education related to Investigation and diagnosis of Animal Diseases, education on the correct use of Vaccines Livestock, the importance of Animal Feed Quality review, education about review of quality, Registration and quality control of Livestock pesticides, and providing consulting and training services.
